David prayed for revival for the sake of the Lord’s name and reputation. Not for his name’s sake or advancement! He wanted the Lord to bring his soul out of trouble for the cause of the Lord’s righteousness.
May the Lord help us all to be so moved! That our lives and interests revolve around the honor of the Lord’s Name! That we would want deliverance from trouble because our mission is to ensure that God’s definition of righteousness is heard!
“Heavenly Father, please revive our souls today for Your Name’s sake. Let Your glory be that which concerns us. Bring our souls out of known and unknown trouble for the sake of Your righteousness. So that Your righteousness may be revealed on earth today. Please fill Your houses of worship with worshipers of You once again. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.”
