God Delivers From Evil

“The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness.” [1]

“We sometimes object to the idea of the wrath of God because we equate it with human anger, which is motivated by selfish personal reasons or by a desire for revenge. We must not forget that the wrath of God is completely righteous in character.” [2] God’s essence is to love righteousness and to hate evil.

Ungodliness refers to a defiance to being like God. Not made in His image but in another image! Unrighteousness refers to a defiance to being right with God.

Suppressing the truth in unrighteousness is to fight against, oppress and to punish any revelation of the truth of God. In essence to join with the devil in his disinformation and defamation war against the Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

What are the indicators of being under God’s wrath:

Professing to be wise but being a fool…
Exchanging God’s glorious image for corrupted images…
Having an unclean lust-filled heart that dishonors the human body…
Exchanging God’s truth for the lies…
Worshiping and serving the creatures rather than the Creator…
Exchanging the natural use of the body for unnatural purposes…
Having a debased mind…
Being sexually immoral…
Being wicked, covetous, malicious, envious, murderous...
Being full of strife, deceitful, evil-minded...
Being a whisperer, a backbiter, a hater of God…
Being violent, proud, boastful, an inventor of evil things…
Being disobedient to parents…
Being undiscerning, untrustworthy...
Being unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful…
Being an approver of those who practice such sin. [3]

How can anyone who is under the wrath of God be saved? The answer is to repent of enmity against God and to embrace Jesus Christ as one’s Lord and Savior.

Believe that Jesus is able to begin the transformation process of replacing an appetite for evil with an appetite for God!

The Bible says, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” [4]

God says to you, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.” [5]
