Lips of Knowledge are a Precious Jewel

“There is gold and a multitude of rubies, but the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel.” [1]

There are various ways to invest time, talent, and treasure. The Lord says that lips that speak knowledge are a precious jewel.

Our Lord Jesus came to earth. Full of knowledge and wisdom! He is God. Creator, now in flesh appearing! Receiving His Words is better than obtaining gold or jewelry. He advises us to invest in Him because He pays eternal dividends. The treasures He gives us cannot be stolen.

“I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me.” [2]

Unlike material items that have no ears, no mouth, and no ability to change our circumstances, the Lord is worthy of our focus, our ponderings, and our patience. He does much more for us than we can ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20).

“To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.” [3]

Our Lord Jesus is Emmanuel – God with us. He helps us overcome trials, temptations, evil, and death. He brings us to paradise. Think of that! Life in a world with no pain, no death, no sorrow! Everlasting treasure! A city with walls of jewels, doors of pearls and streets of gold. A city whose culture is to love God and one another.

I hope and pray that you will invest in listening to the Lord today via Bible study, prayer, worship attendance online or in person. The Bible via Hebrews 10:25 encourages us to gather with fellow believers to encourage one another as we wait for the Lord’s appearance.
