“May the glory of the Lord endure forever...” [1] “Amen! Yes, Holy Spirit empower us to glorify the Name of Jesus Christ.”
The Lord’s glory is forever. Earthly kings and kingdoms will all fade away but our Lord’s kingdom is forever. Our Lord’s kingdom is growing brighter day by day here on earth.
“The path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.” [2]
Jesus is the One who turns swords into plows and spears into pruning hooks. He ends war. [3]
“He that sat upon the throne said, ‘Behold, I make all things new.’ And He said to me, ‘Write: for these words are true and faithful.’” [4]
The Lord is absolutely bringing about a new heaven and new earth.
“I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.” [5]
We who believe in God’s Son Jesus Christ will be with God. Distance between God and us will be no longer exist. [6]
God will wipe away all tears from our eyes. There shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things will have passed away. [7]
While the earth was young, freshly created by God, the Lord revealed to Enoch His coming.
“Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, ‘Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints.” [8]
The Lord revealed to His servant Daniel this day as well. “I saw in the night visions, and behold, One like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought Him near before Him. And there was given Him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve Him: His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.” [9]
Thus, the Lord warns us against religious teachers who depart from faith in Christ, and “give heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons.” In their ignorance, they “forbid to marry, and command people to abstain from foods,” as though these practices have redeeming value to them. But God commanded people to multiply and fill the earth. He wants godly offspring. God created food to be received with thanksgiving. Jesus declared all food clean. [10]
Why did the apostles of Christ “both labor and suffer reproach?” Paul wrote to Timothy saying, “Because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe. These things command and teach.” [11] We are to teach trust in God to save us.
The Prophets, Apostles and Jesus Himself taught us to trust in God’s Son for salvation.
The Apostle Peter said, “All the prophets testify about Him that everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins through His Name.” God forgives those who believe in His Son. [12]
Jesus said, “For God so loved the world that He gave His One and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” [13]
No one but Jesus deserves the glory for saving our souls.
Heaven is filled with praise for JESUS!
“You [Jesus] are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe, language, people, and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.” “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!” [14]
Knowing that only Christ saves our soul and giving Christ glory for saving our soul is the most important doctrine of your life and of the Church's life to protect and to proclaim.
“Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.” [15]
Therefore, let us, “Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His face evermore!” [16]
