God answers our prayers in greater ways than we ask and imagine. [2]
So, why would anyone neglect to pray?
Instead of complaining and mocking leaders, we should pray for them. They are people like us. Only God is able to empower them to do what is best for everyone involved.
“The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: He turns it whithersoever He will.” Some leaders oppose Christ and His messengers, but I have seen even bad leaders influenced by God to do the right thing. With God all things are possible! “The Lord is the governor among the nations.” [3]
The Lord turns troubles into testimonies. I have seen dark circumstances arise like a tidal wave and then, disappear after prayers of faith in God’s Word. Faith based on stories in the Bible! Such as Esther! In the Book of Esther, a man named Haman paid a king a great sum of money to destroy God’s people. God’s people fasted and prayed to God. Then, God destroyed Haman and blessed His people. In the Book of Acts, King Herod planned to kill the Apostle Peter, but God’s people prayed and God intervened. Peter lived! Herod died! [4] Our Abba Father transforms troubles into testimonies for His glory.
God our Savior desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. [5] As we embrace our Savior’s mission to save lost souls and to instruct the converts in His ways, His Spirit gives us greater faith than when we serve only self.
“For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision avails anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith which works by love.” [6] As the Holy Spirit fills us with the love for God and neighbor, He also fills us with faith to trust God that He still does miracles.
“I desire that people pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.” “Let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he, that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” [7]
When we pray to the Lord, we should only believe what He says. Believe He exists! Believe He hears! Believe that He does more than we ask or imagine! And then, thank Him in advance for what He is about to do. Glory to God!
