“He [Jesus Christ] is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.” [1]
The greatest human disaster to be saved from is an eternity away from God. Our Lord Jesus described the destiny of lost souls as a place of weeping and gnashing of teeth. A place where the worm does not die! A place where the flame is not quenched! [2]
Our Lord committed no sin. He died on the cross to make atonement for our sin, so that, our salvation would rest on His merit and not our own. He resurrected from the dead and was seen by many witnesses. He demonstrated that He is able to resurrect the dead to new life. [3]
He is able to save all who come to God through Him. He pardons our sin and guilt when we ask His forgiveness, and He brings us into the family of God. Then, He continuously prays for us not to be deceived out of our eternal inheritance. He continuously prays that we will remain in fellowship with others who follow Him, so that our faith in Him will grow stronger. [4]
“Thank You Lord Jesus for giving Your life to save us from our sin. No greater love has anyone than to lay down their life for another. Thank You for giving Your life for us to save us from hell, and to bring us to be with You when we die. May our lives bring You glory today, for it is in Your Name that I pray. Amen.”
