Forsaking Sin

“If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.” [1]

“The Bible teaches that there are times when God doesn’t hear or answer our prayers. These unanswered prayers may be the result of unconfessed sin in our hearts. We cannot live the Christian life with unconfessed sin, unresolved anger and bitterness, and impure hearts, and still expect God to hear and answer our prayers.” [2]

“He that covers his sins shall not prosper but whoso confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy.” [3]

May the Holy Spirit mercifully convict us of any sin that we might be regarding in our hearts, and help us to confess it to God, and to ask God in the Name of Jesus to move us to forsake it, so the Lord may happily forgive our sin and prosper our service of bringing glory unto Him.
