Devotion During Days of Wrath

“When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers.” [1]

“Seek the Lord, all you humble of the land, you who do what He commands. Seek righteousness, seek humility; perhaps you will be sheltered on the day of the Lord’s anger.

This (wrath) is what they (who insulted, taunted, and threatened) will get in return for their pride, for insulting and mocking the people of the Lord Almighty.” [2]

“Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to save them on the day of the Lord’s wrath.” [3]

“Woe to the city of oppressors, rebellious and defiled! She obeys no one, she accepts no correction. She does not trust in the Lord; she does not draw near to her God.” [4]

“Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth—to every nation, tribe, language, and people. He said in a loud voice, ‘Fear God and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come. Worship Him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea, and the springs of water.’” [5]
